In 2014 Jodi kept her promise. She founded Daniel’s Grace, a local non-profit whose mission is to help cancer families survive and thrive. It was founded in honor of her first husband, Daniel Edwin Burns, who was diagnosed with colon cancer at 28 years young and died tragically at 32 after his long battle with the disease. Daniel’s Grace provides financial assistance for the daily living needs of local cancer families.

This commitment is ingrained in Sweetwater’s business practices, and we honor it through partnerships with local suppliers and farmers to ensure the freshest and most natural ingredients. We also want to do our part to be environmentally responsible to ensure that places like the natural springs that flow sweetly in Mississippi may be enjoyed for generations to come.
In addition to shopping local farmers’ markets for the freshest produce and serving local oysters from the Eastern Shore and Lynnhaven River, we also partner with trusted local suppliers such as George’s Seafood.
